Zinc chloride is a chemical compound that has a formula of ZnCl2. There are nine different crystalline kinds of zinc chloride that are at present known. 6. In its softened state, this compound functions as a catalyst for a few aromatization reactions. For instance, hexamethyl benzene can be acquired from methanol with the help of a liquefied ZnCl2.
